Music Classes for Treble Tots

Designed specifically for children aged 2 years, our Treble Tots classes aid in the development of fine & gross motor skills, cognitive and physical abilities and introduce musical concepts from an early age. Immersing your child into a musical world via Christchurch Music Academy’s unique Listen-Sing-Play-Read approach, Treble Tots classes incorporate singing, movement, dance, action songs, plus the use of percussion and tuned instruments. Classes utilise props to create a multi-sensory learning experience to stimulate brain development, plus our vibrant curriculum characters ensure every lesson is a special experience for your child! 

Treble Tots offers a FUN and engaging introduction to:

• The solfège musical scale – more commonly known as Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do
• Note names (C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C)
• Singing, aural & pitch training to develop the 'musical ear' (a gift for life)
• The use of percussion & tuned musical instruments to develop fine motor skills
• Movement to music to internalize the concept of rhythm as well as to develop gross motor skills & co-ordination
• Musical symbols & rhythmic notation in a basic format, as a precursor to music reading

Christchurch Music Academy Treble Tots classes are limited to a maximum of 10 students per class and are 30 minutes in duration.  Classes are attended once per week with a parent or caregiver. Our Book & CD Set is $49.50 which includes the free soft toy 'Kinder Bear' who will become your child's music time friend!  At 3 yrs old your child will be ready to move through into 'Mini Maestros'.
